Making an Appointment

Reception

Our receptionists will take your call between 08.30 and 18.00. We are now operating an 'Advanced Access' system where we ask you to ring the surgery on the day you wish to have an appointment. However we do reserve about 30% as pre-bookable appointments for essential occasions. Please speak to a receptionist about these.

You do not always have to come to the surgery to have a consultation. We are now able to offer a telephone consultation at a time and place convenient to you. If you wish to speak to a doctor, please be prepared to let the receptionist know a few details, so that the doctor is able to prepare for the call.

Our surgery runs a personal list system, which means that wherever possible you will see the doctor with which you are registered. However, if your own doctor is not available, you will be able to see one of the other doctors or the nurse practitioner.

If you are not sure if it is best to see the Doctor or the Practice Nurse or the Nurse practitioner please ask the receptionist and be prepare to say a little about your problem.

If your circumstances change and you cannot keep your appointment please let us know so that another patient can use the appointment time.
