Appointments

We run all our surgeries by an appointment-only system. Appointments can be booked by telephoning the surgery, visiting the surgery in person or online using Systmonline.

Our receptionists will take your call between 8:30am and 6:00pm

We offer a range of appointment types: 50% of our appointments are ‘book on the day’ appointments. 30% are pre bookable and the rest are reserved for telephone consultations. Telephone consultations can be booked well in advance if needed.

We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.

If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10.00am. Home visits take up more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen.

You need to register to use our online appointment booking service and this is best done in person at the surgery. Please speak to one of our receptionists.

Booking an Appointment with the Practice Nurse or Healthcare Assistant Team

We also offer appointments to see our Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistant teams, below are some of the services they offer.

(To book these appointments you will need to contact the surgery, either by phone or come into reception; these appointments can be booked up to four weeks in advance).

The Practice Nurse Team

We have four practice nurses; Clare, Karen, Susie and Rachael. They specialise in the management of chronic disease such as; asthma, diabetes, stroke and heart disease, as well as carrying out clinical procedures such as; removal of stitches, dressings and wound care, cervical smears and ear syringing.  They also offer advice on and carry out childhood and travel immunisations and vaccinations.

The Health Care Assistant Team

Our two health care assistants are Sharon and Mandy. They carry out blood tests,  blood pressure checks, and ECGs, as well as facilitating our stop-smoking clinic.
