Public health nursing are proud to announce the launch of a new self-weigh service in partnership with Libraries Unlimited which will be starting from Monday 21st February 2022.
There are currently 16 Library locations ready to launch. The new self-weigh stations will be located in some Devon Libraries in local community venues alongside Bounce and Rhyme sessions and can provide valuable reassurance for parents. All self-weigh stations in library settings will be provided with scales by the Public Health Nursing Team as well as signage for parents around the safety of ensuring they are using safe, reliable scales, instructions on how to use the scales and how to access further support if needed with signposting to their local PHN Hub. Library staff will not be involved in the weighing of babies in any way – this is a parent led activity.
